Merry Christmas To All

Twas the night before Christmas...
And the Moore kids are unwrapping their new Christmas pj's.

After putting them on, they settle down for the night, with their candy canes in hand, as Mama reads the Christmas Story.

Then to the kitchen they all go to make a plate of cookies, pour a cup of milk, and get some celery for Santa and his reindeer.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Merry Christmas. We love you.

I Love Christmas Cookies

On Saturday, I baked Christmas cookies for the kids to decorate. Ellie enjoyed putting the sprinkles on them.

And Jackson enjoyed eating the icing - what a surprise.

Mug Shots

TUSCALOOSA - Two year old, Ellie Moore, and one year, Jackson Scott, were incarcerated on Wednesday for dumping their bathwater out of the tub. They were taken to the time out facility in Tuscaloosa, AL, where they were released later that evening.

New Clothes

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas. Nothing says Christmas like new clothes!!! The Wrights are always the first to give the kids their first presents of the season. Here the two little cuties are sporting their new outfits. How adorable are they? They're finally getting the hang of this picture taking think. I told them to stand be the tree for a picture and they posed on their own. Pretty cute!!!

Out of Control

Ok, so does your life ever feel like this picture.

Nothing exceptionaly exciting is taking place. Your just going about your daily routine and feeling pretty comforatble with your life and then Bam!!! And in one moment everything is turned upside down.

That's exaclty what happened in these pictures and what has been happening in my life. I'm of course not going to post the details, but I'm sure you all can relate. It seems as though everytime I think I have things figured out something happens to turn my world upside. I guess, like these pictures, it's just another reminder that I'm really not in control anyway.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

For the last week or so we have been sitting the kids on the kitchen counter and giving the kids a dose of cold medicine before bed. They both take their medicine very well.

You know what they say. Just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go done.

Dicken's Downtown

Last night the Moore's and the Kerstetter's (minus one) went to Dickens Downtown. What a wonderful way to welcome in the Christmas Season, listening to Christmas music and admiring all the Christmas decor.

Besides, where else but in Alabama can you listen to a Confederate band play Christmas music. When we first arrived Aunt Gail told Ellie we were going to listen to a band. She began to chant "Go Bama Go".

Obsessed

At 6:30 this morning I found myself climbing into the third row seat of my car to find a little red and furry friend of Jackson's. As of recent Jackson and Elmo have been inseperable. However, somehow he managed to go to sleep without him, but this morning he woke up asking for him. I hadn't even made it into his room before he started crying "Momo Momo".

I think they may be spending a little too much time together because they're starting to look a like. Scary!!!

A Message From Ellie

This message is going out from Ellie to everyone who loves my Mommy. I think my Mommy has finally lost it. She has been really tired and today I think she finally snapped. Please don't tell her I'm writing to tell you this, but tonight she let us watch two movies (which we never get to do) and then she put me in the tub with my big girl panties on. I tried to tell her, but she was persistant. If any of you think you can help please send me your advice.

We Say Thank You

Every meal since July, Ellie has been reciting a little prayer that repeats the words "we say thank you" and ends with a very infatic "to Jesus." Last Thursday was not only Thanksgiving, but also my birthday and like every other meal Ellie bowed her head and prayed that sweet little prayer. I spent a lot of time reflecting over the past year and thinking of all the things I have been blessed with. I recently received a forward (which I never read) from a friend in which she reavealed 100 facts about herself. I decided that I would reveal 100 things that I am thankful for. Well, I'm still working on my list, but I have more than 100 things to be thankful for.

Turkey At The Beach

This year we were Thankful for GG and Pa's Beach House. The Moore family celebrated Thanksgiving in Myrtle Beach. We had a wonderful weekend.

Ellie and Jack enjoyed playing with their cousins, swimming, playing in the arcade, shopping and visiting Santa. By the looks of this picture Jackson and Kellan barely made the nice list, but I think all of these cuties will be getting a little more than coal this year.

Cuddles 'N Hugs

It was a cold, rainy weekend here in AL this weekend. We spent a lot of time indoors cleaning, packing, and getting ready for the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday. Though we were pretty busy doing errands, there's always time for cuddles 'n hugs

Ode To The Big Pink Puppy

Well, we did it! We finally got rid of the Big Pink Puppy. This weekend Scott and I organized and cleaned out the kids toys and books. We got rid of a lot of toys - well we didn't actually get rid of them, but they are out of the house and sitting in the garage. One of the things to go was the Pink Puppy.

You were a good Puppy and will be missed.

Show Me Your Smile!

On Thursday the kids went for their first ever Dental visit. They were very excited to go to work with Mommy. They went right to Dr. Simpson but when we tried to put them in the chair they lost it. Maybe next time we go to the dentist they will show their sweet little smiles.

Out Of The Mouths Of Babes

It's hard to believe that early on I was a little concerned about Ellie's speach development. Once this child started talking she hasn't stopped. She says the cutest things and I want to always remember her cute little phrases.

A few nights ago Scott was trying to hurry her along into the tub and she turned to him and said "I'm trying! Geesh!"

Yesterday morning I told her that her hair was a mess and she replied, "I know it's driving me nuts."

Last night she asked me for eight dollars that she needed by midnight.

She is constantly telling us "my favorite color is pink and purple."

Every morning after I get ready she tells me "Mommy you like a princess."

I love when she looks at Jackson and tells him "Jackson you so cute."

And recently she loves to whisper I love you in your ear. There is no sweeter sound.

Peace and Quiet

All week long I have been fighting a cold. Well, today it finally got the best of me and I had to leave work at noon to come home and rest. When I got home I layed down and hearing nothing but silence I felt lonely. Then I fell asleep. In a few minutes I will leave to go pick up the kids from day care, but for now the only sound I hear is the clicking of the keys as I type. I know that when I pick the kids up they will be both have crusty runny noses, Ellie's hair will be a mess, their clothes will be very dirty and after only a brief second of hugs and kisses they will be begin to fight and whine. But never the less, as I think about them I began to type a little faster in hopes of reaching them sooner. They are not perfect kids, and recently I feel as though from the time I get home all I do is discipline them. But regardless of any of that they are my kids. My precious gifts from God. He has entrusted them to me for a short while and I love them. my prayer is that even in the times of frustration that my actions will reflect my love for them. There will be moments of quiet over the years, but I will learn to cherish the noise and chaos for I know that soon it will all be over.

Adventures In Halloween

Alright, so I promised that I would post more pictures and stories frm our Hallowen adventures. So here it goes...

The prepartion began on Saturday afternoon. Ellie helped prepare her treat bags for her party. We made the best treat bags ever. We gathered the finishing touches for our costumes and bought the other goodies we would need for the various halloween parties.

On Sunday evening we went to the church Fall Festival. There were games, bouncy houses, food, and of course candy. Jackson ran around like a wild man. He was very excited when he discovered that when he held his basket out and grunted people would place candy in his basket.

Here is a picture of Ellie with her best friend Elizabeth. I mean Tinkerbell and Sleeping Beauty.

Monday night Scott had a young adult's halloween bon fire. The kids stayed with a babysitter. On Wednesday, the real fun began. The kids had their parties at school. Ellie made treat bags and Jackson took chips. I made each of their teachers, little cakes shaped like pumpkins and covered them in orange icing, gave them a stem and placed them on a very pretty plate.

Wednesday morning was crazy. Not only did I have to gather everything for the kids parties and tricker treating later that night, I also had to dress up for work. I dressed as a pirate. I even had a parrot on my shoulder. Before I left for work I told Scott please drive carefully today and don't mess up my cakes! On my way, I received a call from Scott telling me to stop by the schol and fix the cakes, because he had to slam on the brakes and the cakes rolled off the plates. Well, I lost it. I had spent so much time making these cakes perfect. I was sitting in traffic crying. It was one of those crys that shook your hold body. After a few minutes I realized that the man in the car next to me and the construction workers on the other side were staring at the lady with a parrot on her shoulder who was crying histerically. The thoughht of it just makes me laugh.

The day did get better. The cakes were not in total ruin. I was late for work, but no one minded. The kids had a lot of fun tricker treating. Ellie was so sweet. Jackson didn't understand. He thought that everytime someone gave him a piece of candy he was suppose to eat it at that moment. When told otherwise he became very upset. Eventhough it seemed like the Halloween that wouldn't end, it turned out pretty good after all.

Here in Neverland we have been having a little problem with our computer, but Tinkerbell and Peter Pan hope everyone had a Happy Halloween. We will post more pictures tonight. We love you all.

Chuck E Cheese

This afternon we picked the kids up from school and headed to Chuck E Cheese. The kids had never been before so we were anxious to see how the would like it.

We won 70 tickets playing skee ball.

Jackson loved playing the skee ball game. He chased his balls more than he actually threw them, but he had a lot of fun.

The kids rode a few rides,

Did a lot of dancing,

Cashed in their tickets,

And collected a few prizes.

Boo!!!

This week at school Jackson made a pumpkin mask. He loves to wear his little mask and try to scare people. He puts it on and yells boo! When he first brought it home he refused to take it off. We even made a trip to Wal-mart to by milk, all the while, Jackson was wearing his mask.

Someone's hiding who could it be?

Don't be too scared it's only me!
