Hippity Hoppity Easter's On It's Way

Since Scott and I will not be here for Easter, I dressed the kids up in their Easter outfits and took them to get some pics this afternoon. Jackson was being so silly, so we called it quits early and went to get some TCBY. Let me just post a disclaimer and say that very little of this session was staged. What can I say they are just naturals.

We're Moving!!!

Almost four years The Moore's (minus one) moved to Tuscaloosa, AL and bought their first little house.

About three and a half weeks ago we decide to put our house up for sale. We put a sign in the yard and I printed some informational flyers. We knew (or thought) it would be difficult to sell our home, but we decided to go ahead with it. Our main reason for moving was due to school systems, so we were really under no pressure to sell fast. On Tuesday of this week Scott sold our house. And yesterday we bought this beautiful home (sorry the picture is fuzzy).

Here's the view from the front door looking into the living room. The playroom(dining room) in to the left and the kids rooms and bath are to the right.

View from the other end of the living room. Guest room is to the left and kitchen to the right.

Chattanooga

This weekend we packed our bags and headed to Chattanooga for a getaway. It rained all weekend, but that didn't stop us from taking the city by "storm".

The rain didn't bother Ellie one bit, she was glad to use her pink umbrella and pink raincoat.

No trip to Chattanooga is complete without seeing the Chattanooga Choo Choo and Jack could not have been more happy.

We stayed at the beautiful Chattanoogan hotel. Ellie and Jack loved the fireplace in the lobby.

While in Chattanooga we were able to visit the Chattanooga Aquarium. The kids enjoyed seeing the fish and running through the aquarium. They were most excited about seeing the penguins. They even waddled off the bus to the aquarium.

My favorite exhibit at the aquarium had two little toddler fish.

I later was able to witness these two little creatures in their natural habitat. Like most fish, they are naturals in the water, but not so graceful on land and in flipflops.

The kids loved swimming in the pool - just a little taste of summer.

Snow In AL

This morning Jackson woke up at 6:30AM. As I walked to his room, I noticed that there was something white on the front lawn. As a youth pastor's wife, my first instinct was to assume that our yard had been rolled again. But when I looked more closely, I realized that it had actually snowed in AL. I picked Jackson up and told him it was snowing. He instinctively began to call out Ellie's name. I went into Ellie's room, touched her cheek and said "Ellie it's snowing". She jumped up and ran to the front door to peer out. Jackson said "Ellie it's real". We got dressed and went outside. Ellie loved playing in the snow. Jackson however preferred standing inside in the warmth and watching Ellie and I throw snowballs at the window.

Ellie had been praying for snow since Christmas. So I was really happy that she finally got her wish.
