Water Babies

Since it was 86 degrees, I decided that today we would have a little water play after nap time. Ellie and I put our swimsuits on, and headed outside to hook up the sprinkler. She loved splashing and playing ring around the rosies.

Evertime she would stomp we could hear a little giggle from afar. I had left Jack on the porch to play with some balls, because I didn't think he would like the splashing.

It wasn't long until he had made his way over to where we were. And boy was I wrong about the splashing. He loved it!

Ellie soon figured out that it was quite easy to remove her swimsuit and of course without any hesitation, as you can see, that is what she did. Well at least she was half dressed.

Pretty In Pink

Look at these adorable little kids in their adorable little outfits. Yet another church outfit that is not on the approved Dad list. That's ok though. Do we really want Jackson to take fashion advice from Scott?

The Proof Is In The Pictures

I had mentioned that last week was extremely busy. Well, it just so happens that we have the pictures to prove it. These pictures was taking last Tuesday during nap time. They were both sleeping so hard and it was 4:45 PM. What a long nap!

This Little Piggy

Every Thursday morning I have small group. There are about six moms in the group and about five kids. They looked so cute this past Thurday morning that I thought I would take them outside and snap a few pictures. However, my wanting to take pictures of them obviously paled in comparison to the very important game of "This Little Piggy" that was taking place at the same time.

I eventually abandoned my hopes of getting a traditional picture and decided to get some action shots of the game.

After the photo shoot I brought the kids back inside to do a few last minute things. When I went to pick Jackson up to put him in the car, something black was smeared all over his face. I couldn't figure out what it was until I saw two little rocks from the fire place in his hands.

Wagon Rides

This week has been a very busy week for the Moore's. Our minds and bodies are have been very active. Of course this is nothing new for the youngest members of the family. They are always busy. We have been spending a lot of time outside and at the ballpark watching Cousin Devin play baseball. We love to go for rides in our wagon. We look ridiculous walking down the road two kids in a wagon and a cat either riding or following close behind. We're the only people I know who take their cat for walks.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Moore for the Wagon we love it.

This is how we know when it is time to go!

The Incredible Hulk

This weekend Jackson's true identity was reavealed. It's true, he appears to be the Incredible Hulk.

I'm sure you're all wondering what all that green stuff really is. Well, it's the remains of what use to be a cupcake with green icing. I especially like the green icing up his nose. He still has green snot.

Ready for Church

Sunday mornings are always such a rush for us. The kids alaways look so adoarable on Sundays and I always wish I had time to take their picture. And even when we do have time they usually aren't cooperating. Well, today both were working in our favor. We had a few extra minutes, and they both were in great moods.

To Much Estrogen

Scott is finally home and we couldn't be happier. He arived home lateFriday night. While he was gone Jacksn was left with Ellie and I. On Saturdays I will take my time getting ready and Ellie likes to play in the bathroom. We call it Beauty Shop. Since Scott was gone last week, everyday was Beauty Shop day. Actually it is a game he has grow to love. Perhaps he was a little overexposed to females.

Lunch with Uncle Bubba

At 10:30 this morning the phone rang. It was Uncle Bubba. He said that he was on his way to New Jersery with his unit for additional training. They were scheduled to stop and eat lunch in Tuscaloosa. We were so excited! Our visit was short, but we were glad to get to see him even if only for an hour.

Neighborhood Watch

With Scott away, Jackson is the man of the house. This is a duty he takes pretty seriously. It appears as though in an effort to keep us safe, Jackson has started his own sect of a neighborhood watch group. He can very often be found peering out of the front door windows. Dada returns today. I'm sure he will be happy that Jackson has taken such good care of us.

Drama Queen

Since Jackson has been busy with his neighborhood watch duties, Ellie and I have had a little free time. Ellie has choosen to use this spare time to brush up on her acting techniques. As you can see our little Drama Queen is a pretty good litlle actress. Here she is happy...

Sad

Mad

Hiking

Yesterday was such a beautiful day. We played outside in our backyard. Ellie and Jackson love being outside.

Aunt Gail came to visit Yesterday afternoon. When she got here she said that she had an idea. So we all got our shoes and socks on and went hiking at Lake Nichol. Jackson loved being strapped to my back. Ellie enjoyed picking up sticks and watching the water. Aunt Gail got her weekly excersie carrying Ellie. On the way home we stopped to look at the horses. Ellie proclaimed that they were "scary, scary" and would not pet them. However, Jackson would giggle everytime his little hand would touch one. We had a really good time yesterday. Thanks Aunt Gail!

While Dad's Away...

You know how the old saying goes, while Dad's away the mice will...wear outfits to church that he doesn't like (even though Mommy thought he looked adorable).

No! That's not how it goes. Is it while Dad's away the mice will...do home repairs. Ellie found this paint brush in the hall closet and went nuts painting everything she could reach.

I believe the real saying is while Dad's away the mice will play. And that's exactly what these little mice have been doing.

Bye Bye Daddy

This week we will be sharing our Daddy with 24 little kids at a school in Jamaica. We all helped him pack a suitcase full of toys and fun games for the kids. We will miss him very much this week but we are glad he is getting to go help build the school.

Ellie's Secret

Ellie has a secret. She is an undercover nudist. It's true, she prefers to be naked. Two nights ago, when we put in bed, we heard all of this bagging coming from her room. We kept trying to figure out what in the world was going on. When we finally went in to check on her, she was sound asleep. However, her sleeper was off and her diaper was half off and providing less coverage than a Victoria Secret g-string. We're also a little concerned about her fashion sence. Her favorite thing to wear is her Dad's boxers. She usually wears them on her head. At least this time she got it right.

Jackson's First Steps

Well, you'll all be glad to know that we are recovering from our sicknesses. As you can see we all were a little tired from our late night. The kids both fell asleep on the couch watching Seasame Street this morning.

That morning nap must have been a good one for Jackson, because despite being sick he took his very first steps today!!!

The Good Ole' Days

I took this picture last week. It was such a beautiful day and the kids were having such a good time playing outside. They both love smelling the flowers that are starting to bloom. But a lot can chamge in just a few days. Two days after this picture was taken tornados ripped through AL, the temperature dropped drastically, the kids both got pink eye, and they now have a stomache virus. Yuk! All this bad weather and sickness keeps us wishing for the good ole' days.

Dodging Trouble

Disciplining Jackson has proven to be challenging. When we first started, he would just laugh. However, he has learned to take us more serious. And now he has developed new tactics in hopes of dodging trouble. Whenever he hears his name said in that "I'm in trouble" tone, he flops himself onto the floor and lies flat on the ground.
