Fun Day

This week Scott was at wedding out of town. And just like every other time he goes out of town someone got sick. This time it was Ellie. On Wednesday evening, I woke up to Ellie sitting over me in the bed. She started to say "Mommy, I don't..." and I think she was going to say I don't feel good, but she was unable to finish her sentence before she threw up all over my face. Nice I know, but fortunately I have some wonderful friends who kept her for me on Thurs., so I could go to work. I volunteered at VBS, and there were a few other minor inconviences which added to the stress of the week. So when Friday came, I decided that the kids and I needed a fun day. So we packed a cooler and some beach toys and spent the afternoon at the lake. They had a wonderful time swimming and playing in the sand. After a few hours we headed home to get ready for VBS Family Night. The gym was filled with blowup games and the kids loved it.

Jackson is such a little dare devil. This picture is not very good, but it shows that my little guy will try anything-no matter how big. The amazing thing is how he climbed up there by himself.

Then it was home again for movie night. After watching "Aristocats" we settled in for the night (yes, all three of us slept on the areo bed).

Daddy's home now, but the fun continues. Tonight we went to the Walker's house for a pool party. My kids love the water. And I love watching them swim.

Ellie is very good at making friends. I am very proud of the way she readily accepts new people. Here she is in the pool playing with her "new friend".

Dump Truck Ballet

The Dump Truck Ballet premiered this afternoon in our backyard
Starring Ellie Maron as the Princess Ballerina

Starring Jackson Scott as the Dump Truck Dare Devil Driver (all truckers can use a drink every now and then)

Well, this picture pretty much sums up most interactions between Ellie and Jack. Ellie dances around while Jack, with a large toy truck, being operated wrecklessly, runs around her aggervating her.
