How To Pitch A Fit

How To Pitch A Fit: An Instructional Manual by Jackson Scott Moore.

Step # 1 - When a situation presents itself in which the outcome is not that which is so desired, let out a loud cry.

Step # 2 - Check to make sure that the appropriate parties are watching your tantrum.

Step # 3 - Cry louder and with more intensity.

Step # 4 - Again check to see if you are being watched.

Step # 5 - If by this time you have not received the desired outcome, you may want to reconsider you strategy. Take a moment to think.

Step # 6 - Admit defeat.

Little Picasso's

Craft time is always an interesting endeavor in the Moore household. You can expect a big mess and several taste tests during the process, but the end product is priceless. However, for the right price we might be willing to consider selling those little works of arts (the paintings not the kids). Just make us an offer.

Mommy's New Job

Today was my first day of work at the pediatric dentist office. It's a lot to learn and I had a horrible headache all day, which by the time I got home had turned into a migrane. I arrived home only to discover that Jackson had been sent home from school today sick. Poor Scott! He stayed home with him today and is taking him to the doctor tomorrow morning. Hopefully the rest of the week will go a little better. Ellie however, had a wonderful day. She was very excited to see Miss Bonnie. There were no tears when Scott dropped her off at daycare this morning.

All Dressed Up

All dressed up and off to church we go.

On the way to church this morning I was listening in on a pretty interesting conversation. It went something like this...
"Hey budder."
"Uh"
"Look at the cars Jack."
"Oooh"
"A blue one Jack. A blue one."
"Boo."
"Uh Oh"
"That's ok Jack Mommy will get it"
"Uh"
"Going to church Jack. Going to church."
I love listening and watching these two interact. They are so sweet - most of the time.

Riddle Me This

What do you get when you combine two kids, their first week of daycare, an awesome pool party, and some fun outside time with Mama? Two very exhausted toddlers.

The kids and I played outside for a while this morning, and when we came back inside they totally crashed. I just love those sleepy little faces.

Pool Party

Tonight the church rented the Alabama rec pool (or as Ellie calls it the swimming poop). It was a lot of fun. Jacson and Ellie loved splashing in the baby pool and floating around the lazy river.

Ellie loves Katherine Maxey she calls her "my baby Katherine". I talked to Katherine's Mom Lori earlier today and knew they would be at the pool. When I told Ellie at dinner that she would get to see baby Katherine tonight, she gasped and said "yeah my baby". We love this precious family.

Tonight Jackson got in his very first fight. At the end of the night Jackson and another little boy took turns pushing one another. They both were giggeling and having a great time. Occassionally one of them would fall down and the giggles would turn ino full blown laughter. The funniest part about the whole ordeal was when one of them would fall and get back up and give each other a little belly bump. I was concerned that the boy's parents would be upset, but then I noticed that they were video taping the whole thing. Considering that it was 96 degress at 8pm, it was a great night for a pool party. After a week of day care an some hardy play at the pool tonight, Scott and I are anticipating a great night's sleep.
