Kumquat's Anyone?

So last Friday Scott and I decided that we would use our day off to do a little yard work. Seeing as how neither one of are very versed in the art of landscaping or have gree thumbs, this is usually something that we try to con someone else into doing. But not this year. The day started with Scott attempting to mow the grass wile I cleaned out and organized the garage. The word attempted is very important, you see every time that Scott goes out to mow the grass we have to hold our breathes and pray that the lawn mower will start. After trying both mowers, he informed me that he was going to Lowes to buy yet a third one. Once home he mowed the front lawn. Somewhere between the front lawn and the back the mower stalled and would not start. So there he was with three lawn mowers lined up in the. As theyy sat there starring at one another it truly was man vs. machine (the machines were most definetly winning). Needing a change in scenery, we packed up the lawn mower and headed to Lowes to pick out some flowers and other plants. While there I asked scott several times to get some mulch and he stated that he wanted to wait until later. As we walked up and down the isles looking at the flowers we came across the tree isle. Scott said "Amber I want to get a tree." I said whatever and walked away. And moments later, from across the garden department, he began yelling "Amber, I want a Kumquat tree! Give me a Kumquat tree!" This continued throughout the duration of the trip. On the way home we stopped to get a bite to eat and went home to eat our lunch. I finished first, and went back outside to begin weeding the flower beds and planting the flowers we had purchased. Scott came out a little while later did something and then said I'm going to go get the mulch. What! Now Scott is going to read this and dispute it, but for anyone who knows Scott you know it's true. We worked very hard and in the end we were happy with the little changes we made.

A few weeks ago I was pressed for time trying to get myself and the kids ready. I could hear Scott in the closet doing something with my jewlery. When he finally came out this is what he looked like. He was trying to make fun of me, but it backed fired. Don't mess with me Scott, I'm a blogger. Oh well, did I really expect a guy who looks this good in women's jewlery to be good at yard work too.

I have no idea where you got this guy. If you sent this stuff in it would make a great sit-com. The things you two say to each other is even funnier. I would have been laughing my head off if I Had witnessed this, I've been laughing since you told the story. It is still funny to read it. Scott needs one of the mowers that doesn't have a moter, only blades. Anyway, the yards looks great. You did a beautiful job.
