Pacifiers Anonymous

Like any addiction, the hardest part is admitting you have a problem. For many children pacifiers are a habit that can not be beat on their own. The Moore children have developed a 7 step program to help other children who are afflicted by this addiction.

1. Admit that you are powerless over the pacifier.
2. Find a buddy to take the journey of paci sobriety with you.
3. Tie your paci to a balloon, symbolizing how you are bound by this adiction.

4. Say goodbye. This is different for everyone. For some a kiss goodbye will do.

Others need one last suck.

5. Release the balloon into the air, freeing yourself.

6. It is ok to mourn by crying.

Or simply reflect upon the fond memories you and your paci shared together.

7. Lastly reward yourself with gifts and cupcakes.

The Moore children have been paci free for two weeks. Today marks the two week anniverary of the "bye-bye paci party". We have had a couple of close calls, but overall things have gone much smoother than anticipated.

How in the world do you ever come up with all these ideas. Just seeing the babies and knowing what's going on would be great, but your writing makes it all perfect.
That's one party I wouldn't have missed. Those kids were so funny. They totally understood what was going on and they were ready for it. Of course we found a bag of pacis after you left. Not to mention a couple of cars, a snack bowl, a ball honestly at that point we got our hopes up that we might find one of the babies. Can't wait to see Peter Pan & Tink.
