We gave Scott a Father's Day Card that said "because I said so". I bought this card because, believe it or not, this is the phase of life we are going through. We refer to it as the "why" phase. Anyone with kids over three has experienced it. After being asked "why" repeatedly you are left with no other answers other than "because I said so". Every new parent vows that they will educate their children and never use that phrase, but eventaully every parent falls to the temptation of resorting to the worn out phase "because I said so". Through every phase of our kids lives Scott has proven to be an excellent father. No, he doesn't always have all the answers, but he has enough love to go around. Happy Father's Day Dada, Poppy, Pappy Steve, Grandpa Lloyd, Pa, Uncle Bob and all the other father's! We love you!!!

What a wonderful family you have. I am so very proud of the parents you both have become. Parenting is not an easy job and never will be, not even with time, but is the most wonderful job we could ever have. The way you wrote this makes me think of our relationship with our Heavenly Father. Unlike us, he is perfect in everything and in everyway. After we ask 'Why' his answer is also at times 'because I said so'. He doesn't always reveal to us where he's going with things or why, but he does know best and we have to completely trust him. No matter how old we are we will alway ask why! Welcome to the wonderful world of parenting.
